Senior Ratings Surveyor

Job Description

Dove & Hawk are supporting a Surveying Partnership with the hiring of an experienced Senior Ratings Surveyor to join their team based in Central London. With an established client base and working across multiple property uses in the commercial space this role will suit someone with 2+ years' PQE who is looking for an opportunity to support graduate members of staff with their personal development and growth.

Duties/Functions of the role:

• Progressing tenant and owner/occupier "appeal" and consultancy work
• Growing, managing and progressing your own casework, under appropriate supervision.
• Preparing valuation data (including analysis of rental, trade and build costs).
• Conducting property inspections and measurements.
• Liaising with public bodies (Assessor/Valuation Officer/local billing authorities) and clients.
• Engaging in Business Development with a view to increasing fee income.
• Supporting senior team members with casework.
• Attending client meetings, supervised as appropriate.
• Tribunal preparation/attendance as appropriate.

Requirements of the role:

• MRICS Qualification (Chartered Status).
• 2+ years PQE working as a Business Rates Surveyor
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Full driving licence.
• Previous experience dealing with Billing Authorities and/or Valuation Office Agency.

Salary Budgets: £50,55,000 basic, plus bonus and benefits

Required working hours: Monday to Thursday 9am-5:30pm, Friday 9am-4:30pm (2 WFH days per week)
