Job Description
Are you passionate about the Operations? Do you have experience supplying operators for equipment on hire to Laing O'Rourke Group & external customers? We have an excellent opportunity for you to work across Select Plant hire Business as an Operations Supervisor/Coordinator.

Key Responsibilities
- Deal with operators directly regarding Allocation, Pay, Holiday, Sickness and general requirements.
- Book, coordinate and administer agency requests as and when required.
- Coordinate, monitor, update, and book when required Operators files, CPSC cards, CITB HS&E tests, training, and medicals are kept in date as per LOR requirements and policies.
- Administer operators Annual leave/holiday bookings while maintaining records.
- Supporting the Health & Safety agenda across our workforce, issuing TBT and record/track outstanding responses and highlighting the manager.
- Working closely with the Select team to support where required any operator issues.
- Ensuring safety is the main priority.
- Working with the charge out team to ensure all records and paperwork is up to date, recorded and issued compliant with required information to allow the efficient process to be maintained.
- Documentation and administration of other requirements within the operator function when required.
- Assist with bookings of site inductions and maintaining the associated records.
- Other ad hoc duties which may be requested by your management team.
To Develop and work toward:
- Operators must now ALL hold an NVQ, Grandfather rights are no longer eligible. Working toward having all operators holding NVQ must be achieved.
- Continual development of IT skills to move the department forward i.e., paperless systems such as timesheets and holiday bookings.
- To continually improve knowledge and understanding of the department needs.
- Good knowledge of IT including Microsoft Software (Excel, Word, Outlook and Teams etc), online booking portals and general systems (Coins, etc).
