Winschoten, Netherlands

We are looking for an experience Commercial manager to oversee commercial delivery of a brand new project in the Netherlands. A great opportunity to work on a brand new hyperscale project, cradle to grave for a major European contractor who are well known for delivering multiple mission critical projects across the region.

Reporting to the Campus Manager, Division Commercial Manager and Division Operations Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for the commercial and contractual performance of the project and in doing so, ensure compliance with business policies and procedures. The successful candidate will be required to liaise and communicate with internal project teams, Client representatives and Company Directors and manage a multi-discipline commercial management team.

Skills and Requirements

  • Minimum 5years experience in similar role / similar responsibilities. Minimum 15years relevant post-graduation industry experience
  • Previous project quantity surveying experience
  • Hold degree qualification in commercial management or related field. Qualification in Contract management an advantage
  • Experience project contract management
  • Ability to oversee multiple tasks and personnel
  • Excellent inter-personal and communications skills
  • Confident presentation skills
  • Be able to operate within a fast-paced, agile contracting environment

Responsibilities

  • Develop and amend as required project commercial and contract strategies.
  • Overall responsibility for project commercial management, project finance management and project contract management with particular focus on project P&L
  • Develop, implement and maintain tools to monitor and report project performance
  • Produce regular reports on project performance, highlighting risks to business and project(s)
  • Ensure project accounts are maintained up to date and regularly shared with Client Representatives
  • Oversight and approval of project procurement, ensuring compliance with company procurement procedures and policies
  • Oversight of vendor and subcontractor accounts including account liabilities
  • Main contract and subcontract final account settlement
  • Management of post-contract obligations and entitlements including warranties and retentions
  • Carry out internal audits and support external authority compliance audits, as required
  • Monitor, enforce, support, implement commercially related policies and procedures
  • Mentor, coach and train as required personnel within the project team
