Designer and Estimator

Job Description

We are looking for a Designer & Estimator to produce furniture design, layouts and pricing for quotations in the Interiors business in Knowsley. As a Designer & Estimator you will be primarily responsible for creating designs on Revit and AutoCad ensuring product availability, lead times and stock utilisation are considered. Excellent communication and administration skills are required to put together best value solutions and ensure all work is logged, recorded and analysed correctly. Effective liaising with the commercial and project teams as well as other internal departments such as the Central Bid team is also necessary. Role Details
  • Salary: £25,000- £32,000
  • Role based: Knowsley, LS4 9JG
  • Contract type: Permanent,
  • Annual leave: 25 plus bank holidays
Role Responsibilities
  • Achieve order numbers are determined by the KPI's for Interiors business.
  • Foster and develop strong client relationships to ensure a quality service.
  • Produce accurate, estimated quotations to often tight deadlines to meet customers' requirements involving discussions with Hire Centres, Clients, and other Building Services teams as necessary. Budget prices or offline quotations to be produced along with a full pricing schedule.
  • Liaise with sub-contractor to finalise designs and solutions and to keep up to date with the latest products, regulations and technology
  • Communicate with Building Services and contractors to ensure project specific co-ordinated drawings are produced.
  • Follow up on live opportunities with Hire Centres where relevant building service products are not included on the quotation to understand the client's project and recommend potential relevant building service solutions that can be added.
  • Direct influence on projected margin of opportunities, providing comprehensive advice to Hire Centres over costing implications and be involved with pricing decisions on quotations to maximise profit.

  • Experience gained in a design/technical role and established Auto CAD and Revit experience.
  • GCSE Maths and English at Grade 4 or above
  • Full UK driving licence.
