Atlas Copco’s portable energy business comprises the sales, marketing and service of compressors, pumps, generators and lighting towers. Previously it was in a division called Compressor Technique.
There will be three regional hubs for the UK: Stirling in Scotland, Hemel Hempstead in Hertfordshire and Port Laoise in Ireland. All have workshop facilities for equipment overhaul and engine re-fits, together with compressor and generator maintenance carried out by expert service engineers with construction site experience.
Atlas Copco Group president and CEO Ronnie Leten said that putting compressors with construction tools “allows us to better capture the sales and service synergies between our construction businesses and to capitalise on the future growth of construction projects around the world.”
