The Bexleyheath town centre revitalisation scheme is being carried out for Bexley Council and Transport for London.
Funded by the Mayor of London, the scheme aims to improve footpaths, public spaces and highways using a ‘shared space’ concept. The project incorporates new paving, street lighting, street furniture and tree planting.
“By redesigning the road layout and implementing traffic calming measures we can ensure that Bexleyheath town centre provides a safe, accessible environment for visitors and members of the local community alike,” said FM Conway contracts director Brian Morris.
Completion is scheduled for August 2013.
