Breedon has bought an asphalt plant located in an Allen Newport sand and gravel quarry in Cavenham, near Bury St Edmunds, which has a capacity of approximately 200 tonnes per hour.
In Essex, it has bought an asphalt plant in Lafarge Tarmac's Wivenhoe quarry near Colchester. It is rated at approximately 120 tonnes per hour.
Breedon Aggregates England chief executive Tim Hall said: "These acquisitions will enable us to service a new community of customers in Essex and Suffolk and provide additional outlets for our aggregates.
"We now have a network of nine asphalt plants throughout central England, stretching from Leominster in the west to Norwich in the east."
Last week Breedon bought Barr Quarries for £21m.
