As the photos here show, the company assembled all 55 of its mobile pumps and operators at North Weald Airfield on a Sunday for commemorative photographs.

The pumps are all manufactured in Germany by Putzmeister and Schwing and the mobile pumps are all mounted on Mercedes Benz trucks. Camfaud also has more than 20 static pumps, 15 placing booms and a small fleet of grout mixer/pumps. It says that this makes it the largest fleet of concrete pumps in the UK.

Camfaud Concrete Pumps was set up by Dave Faud and his then business partner Jim Campbell. Dave bought out his partner at an early stage of the company’s history and for several years ran the business with his wife Theresa. The company is now owned and managed by the next generation of the family Tony, Peter and Lynn, together with Lynn’s husband Brendan Murphy.
