Premier Interlink has landed a £40m contract to supply prefab site accommodation. It will construct almost 1,000 steel-framed modules offsite at its factory in East Yorkshire and then ship them them down to Somerset for assembly on site.
The 38,000m2 modular building complex will comprise offices and site welfare facilities, required for the 10-year construction stage of the new nuclear power plant at Hinkley Point C.
Premier Interlink said that there had never been a bigger contract for modular buildings in the UK before.
