Kubota UK has issued a 1st April press release suggesting that the American pop singer has splashed out on a special edition gold KX71-3 mini excavator.
The machine was produced to mark the sale of the company’s 50,000th mini-excavator in the UK. Kubota says it is “the world’s most expensive gold digger”.
While not directly saying that Mr West has bought the machine, Kubota said that it is “rumoured to have been purchased by an acclaimed American music artist”, adding that the Gold Digger was being prepared at Oxford airport “to Touch the Sky for its Homecoming to Los Angeles”.
On balance, therefore, we reckon it is indeed April First. After all, everyone knows Kanye’s a Cat, man.
