ISG will build a four-storey steel frame extension to the Motherwell campus main teaching building and put up a new HGV maintenance teaching facility.
The 19,375 sq ft extension will enable the consolidation and enlargement of the existing Student Association and common room facilities, as well as providing additional floor space for general teaching and meetings.
The separate HGV teaching facility, which will enable the college to offer more courses, will be brickwork and composite-clad and housed within a new 8,600 sq ft steel frame structure.
ISG has recently completed work for the University of Dundee and Abertay University.
Alan McCarthy-Wyper, managing director of ISG’s construction business, said: “Increasing our visibility within the Scottish education sector remains a core business priority, building upon our enviable expertise and industry credentials delivering schools, colleges and university projects south of the border. New College Lanarkshire is a great addition to our growing portfolio of high profile education sector clients in Scotland and demonstrates our continued commitment to taking a greater share of this important market sector.”
