The AU$45m (£26m) project at the St Andrew’s Ipswich Private Hospital involves the provision of 90 new beds and the first private hospital Emergency Department within Ipswich. The contract also includes the refurbishment of key areas within the existing hospital for Ramsay Health Care.
John Holland’s building manager for Queensland and the Northern Territories, Colin Matthews, said that the new work represents a continuation of John Holland’s long-standing relationship with Ramsay. “We have been delivering projects for Ramsay since the early 2000s, and are pleased to be involved in the creation of this first class and highly functional medical facility, which will cater to the health care needs of one of South-East Queensland’s fastest growing regions,” he said.
Overall project completion is scheduled for 2018.
