With a short tail swing of just 1850mm, the R920 has been designed for use on restricted construction sites or in inner city areas.
It has an operating weight between 19 and 21 tonnes and is powered by a 100kW (136hp) engine. It meets Stage IV exhaust emissions regulations by use of a selective catalytic reduction (SCR) system with urea injection and oxidation catalyst. Particulate filters are available as an option.
The undercarriage is based on the Liebherr X design, which is claimed to improve performance and extend service life. Customers can choose from four undercarriage combinations with a bulldozer blade also available.
