The SD580 is a compact 580mm-wide single drum roller, designed for small asphalt reinstatement work and groundcare duties where access prevents the use of a larger double drum machine. Powered by a Honda GX160 petrol engine, delivering 3.9hp (2.9kW), the SD580 weighs 185kg and delivers a centrifugal force of 10kN with a frequency of 76Hz.
Equipped as standard with a large 15 litre removable water tank, the SD580 has sprinkler controls fitted to the top of the roller and self-cleaning strips on the drum to act against the build-up of dirt.
The new SE10-35 forward vibratory plate, powered by a Honda petrol engine, is designed for compaction of asphalt, soil and non-cohesive materials. It weighs 73kg, has a plate width of 350mm and a plate length of 527mm. With a centrifugal force of 10.5kN and a frequency of 90Hz, the plate has a maximum travel speed of 23m/min and can handle up to a 30% grade.
The DE35-42 reversible vibratory plate weighs 240k and is powered by a Hatz IB20 diesel engine. It delivers a compaction frequency of 80Hz and a centrifugal force of 35kN across the 420mm wide plate. Maximum travel speed is 26m/min and the plate can be used for a variety of compaction tasks when moving forwards, backwards and in a stationary position.
