The developer unveiled its plans for the city centre site, which has been empty for 20 years, at a public information event last week.
St Anne’s Quarter will comprise 437 new homes, 22,000 square foot of commercial space, and a central plaza area along the riverfront, which includes a landscaped open space. The homes will be , a mix of studio, one, and two bedroom apartments and houses, plus there will be eight commercial units.
An 18-week programme of archaeology is currently coming to an end, and Orbit Homes is now in the process of procuring a building contractor.
Construction is expected to begin in early 2016.
The first homes are due for completion in summer 2017.
