The new office development at Tachbrook Park recently received planning permission from Warwick District Council.
BAM starts on site this month to create the 63,000 sq ft office building that will house around 600 staff working in emerging vehicle technologies. Tata Group owns Jaguar Land Rover.
Fusion Building Consultancy is Tata Technologies’ project manager and its structural engineer is the Complete Design Partnership. The construction value of the work, to complete in February 2017, is £14.5m.
BAM will create the curtain-walled three-storey steel-framed building on a 3.85 acre greenfield site. Designed by architect Webb Gray, the building will take the form of two wings with a central core.
Nick Sale, chief operating officer of Tata Technologies Europe, said: “Following a stringent tender process, we selected BAM based on their excellent credentials and proven track record of delivering high profile building projects for high profile clients. These new headquarters showcase our ambition to continue to grow and expand Tata Technologies’ operations in the UK and Europe. The development marks an exciting new chapter in the company’s support of engineering excellence across the region and will create an additional 200 job opportunities at all levels, from graduate to senior roles.”
BAM construction director Barrie Addison said: “Across the UK BAM has become known for its work on signature headquarters buildings, many of them for blue chip clients like Tata Technologies. That’s a prestigious market to be working in, and we are delighted to have a chance to work with Tata Technologies which is at the cutting edge of technology to create the vehicles of the future.”
