Three more failures

25 Mar 11 Three more construction companies have fallen victim to difficult trading conditions this week and gone into administration.

Sunderland-based building contractor KA Construction is now in the hands of administrators from RSM Tenon Recovery.

Altitude Scaffolding, of Crumpsall, Manchester, has also gone into administration and is being handled by Cowgill Holloway Business Recovery. This Altitude Scaffolding is not to be confused with a similarly named scaffolding contractor based in Hull.

Finally, Bath-based damp proofing specialist ProTen Services Ltd – formerly known as Protim Services – has failed after more than 80 years in business. The company was founded in 1928 to treat woodworm and has expanded over the years to provide a range of services nationwide including radon gas control. ProTen is now being handled by Cowgill Holloway Business Recovery, based in Reading.
