Senior Architect Job in Edinburgh, Scotland
Senior Architect job in Edinburgh, Scotland offering a unique opportunity to join an AJ100 focusing on high-profile Conservation, Heritage, and Contemporary projects across Scotland. They are world-renowned in this sector for architectural and heritage consultancy, showing their passion for high-quality design and craftsmanship in every project they deliver.
They currently close to 300 professionals split across 14 offices globally, with the fresh opening of this office in early 2024 they now look to expand with experienced and passionate conservation professionals.
Role & Responsibilities
- Oversee projects from initial concept to completion and guide teams through RIBA stages
- Collaborate with stakeholders, clients, consultants, and team members to achieve project objectives, within deadlines and budgets through clear and effective communication
- Manage and deliver work packages to the site, in particular stages 3, 4, and 5
- Report to office studio lead and regional partner
- Apply expert knowledge in construction and detailing, particularly in conservation projects, while ensuring compliance with Scottish Building and Planning regulations.
Required Skills & Experience
- 5 years of experience post part III qualification UK experience
- AABC, RIBA, or RIAS accredited conservation Architects are highly desirable or willing to work towards this is encouraged
- Project management and contract administration experience and skills
- Previous experience working in Conservation areas and working on Grade I, II,II* projects is essential to this role
- Experience managing and leading a small to medium-sized team
- Proficient use of Revit, AutoCAD, and NBS software
- Strong understanding of Scottish Building regulations.
