The services were currently sourced via a two-year contract, which has now ended . We are now seeking to contract the services on a longer term basis. This is to build a partnership with a Service Provider, put in place key performance indicators and provide value for money.

II.2.4) Description of the procurement
The aim of this procurement is to contract with a Service Provider to complete all Planned, Preventative Maintenance (PPM), reactive and remedial works pertaining to Fork Lift Trucks across STFC Estates (see ‘Annex B Asset List’ for the assets that shall be maintained in this contract).
The services were currently sourced via a two-year contract, which has now ended . We are now seeking to contract the services on a longer term basis. This is to build a partnership with a Service Provider, put in place key performance indicators and provide value for money.
This contract is for 2 years, with two optional extensions of one year starting from approximately 11 January 2024, and the agreement shall be in place until 10 January 2026 with optional extensions, at UKRI’s discretion, to 11 January 2027 and 11 January 2028. A 1-month mobilisation period will take place for the Service Provider, which will commence approx. 11 December 2023.
We are looking to contract with a specialist Fork Lift Truck maintenance Service Provider who has technical capability to deliver all aspects of the services. Preferably, they should have the direct in-house labour to be able to maintain a variety of brands of Fork Lift Trucks (Manufacturers are listed in the ‘Annex B- Asset List’).
The estimated value of the opportunity is:
Up to £71,500 GBP ex VAT per year which leads an estimation of up to £143,000.00 GBP ex VAT for the minimum two year contract.
For the full potential duration of 4 years this is estimated up to £286,000.00 GBP ex VAT.
It should be noted that the Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) is the only service that is guaranteed through this contract. This accounts for an estimated £6,500.00 GPB ex VAT per year and is included in the values stated above. All other services stated in the specification shall be utilised as and when required and are not guaranteed.
