The contracts are for urgent repairs and jobbing works to Angus Council properties (excluding council housing).
The contracts cover a range of trades with individual orders for works which are of an urgent repair, minor alteration or maintenance in nature being placed with the appropriate appointed contractors. The contracts will run from the 1 April 2025 to 31 March 2029.
Contractors will be appointed on a trade and area basis and where possible standby contractor(s) will be put in place. The maximum value of any one order is restricted to GBP 50 000.
Details as to the procedure for awarding work to contractors selected to the frameworks for each lot during the contract will be set out in the tender documentation. Provision will also be made to appoint a contractor(s)from other lots where a deficiency of contractors arises in a given trade category (lot) during the course of the contract.

List and brief description of conditions
Bidders for ELECTRICAL WORKS lots must be currently enrolled with the National Inspection Council for Electrical Installation Contracting (NICEIC) or be a current member of the Electrical Contractors' Association of Scotland (SELECT) (or European equivalent of either organisation). The registration/membership number and organisation to be listed in the SPD.
Bidders for HEATING AND VENTILATION WORKS lots - In accordance with the Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulations 1998 all GAS INSTALLATION and REPAIR WORKS must be carried out by contractors who are registered members of the Gas Safe Register. In addition, all gas fitting operatives must have been assessed, tested and hold current certificates of competence in the appropriate area of gasworks to be carried out for NON-DOMESTIC INSTALLATIONS. The Gas Safe registration number to be listed in the SPD.
Bidders for PLUMBING WORKS lots - In accordance with the Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulations 1998 all GAS INSTALLATION and REPAIR WORKS must be carried out by contractors who are registered members of the Gas Safe Register. In addition, all gas fitting operatives must have been assessed, tested and hold current certificates of competence in the appropriate area of gas
work to be carried out for DOMESTIC INSTALLATIONS. The Gas Safe registration number to be listed in the SPD.
Bidders for DATA AND VOICE INSTALLATION lots must be qualified and capable of testing and certifying installations to Categories 5 & 6 Enhanced all
as detailed in TIA SP3727 addendum to ANSI/TIA/EIA/568CA and a copy of such a certificate must accompany the return of the SPD.
Bidders for ASBESTOS REMOVAL Lot must be licensed under the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012 and a copy of such a licence must
accompany the return of the SPD.
