17 chosen for North West’s small works framework

15 Feb 11 Lancashire contractors dominate the list of 17 construction companies selected for the North West Construction Hub’s small works framework.

The framework, administered by Manchester City Council on behalf of the North West Regional and Improvement Partnership (NWIEP), covers public sector contracts worth up to £500,000 across the northwest region. Total value of the work is expected to be about £160m.

Contracts are divided into two lots: up to £250,000; and £150,000 to £500,000.  The term is four years.

The selected contractors are:

  • Cruden Group, Warrington
  • G&J Seddon, Bolton
  • Garside and Laycock, Preston
  • GB Building Solutions, Surrey

  • Herbert T Forrest, Preston
  • ISG Regions Building, Salford Quays
  • Kier Support Services, Bedfordshire
  • Lambert-Gill, Carlisle
  • Manchester and Cheshire Construction, Salford
  • Morrison Facilities Services, Glasgow
  • Stobbarts, Workington
  • Strategic Team Group, Glasshoughton
  • Walter Carefoot & Sons (Construction), Longridge, Lancs
