The Welsh Assembly Government has issued Prior Information Notices for a further four road construction projects, with a potential value of£124m.
Yesterday, it announced plans for four schemes worth up to £113m.
The schemes unveiled today are:
- A470 Gelligemlyn improvement. Single carriageway widening and improvement, over 2km. Estimated value: £7m to £9m. Scheduled date for start of award procedures: 31 July 2010.
- A483/A489 Newtown Bypass (early contractor involvement). Take project from preferred route through statutory consent procedures and construction. Estimated value: £40m to £55m. Scheduled date for start of award procedures: 1 October 2010.
- A40 Llanddewi Velfrey - Penblewin improvement. Design and construction of trunk road, improvements, and associated works, including statutory procedures. Estimated value: £30m to £35m. Scheduled date for start of award procedures: 31 January 2010.
- M4 Junction 28 improvement and associated works. Take forward scheme from an outline design through the statutory consent procedure and construction. Estimated value £10m to £25m. Scheduled date for start of award procedures: 15 December 2010.
