The director of two failed solar panel installation firms has been disqualified for nine years following an investigation by the Insolvency Service.
Floyd Lewis, of Bournemouth, has signed a disqualification undertaking banning him from managing, controlling or being a director of a company until 2019.
He was a director of Bournemouth-based Solar Technik, which went into voluntary liquidation on 26 March 2007 with an estimated deficiency to creditors of £1,381,456.
Lewis was also a director of Ultimate Energy which went into administration on 2 December 2008.
His mother, June Lewis, a co-director of Solar Technik and Ultimate Energy, was disqualified on 2 June 2009.
The investigation by The Insolvency Service found that Lewis caused Solar Technik to trade “in a manner which was detrimental to both its customers and creditors”.
