Perthshire construction company I&H Brown has been awarded a £35m contract for the infrastructure of Glenkerie Wind Farm in Broughton, Biggar.
The wind farm includes 11 turbines, a substation building and all of the necessary electrical and control equipment and cabling. The 8km of new access roads from the A701 require three new bridges.
I&H Brown will also carry out the grid connection contract.
The programme is divided into two phases, to suit environmental restrictions on working near the Kingledore Burn, which is a tributary of the River Tweed.
The client is Novera Energy.
