Mansell has been awarded the first £7.5m phase of a contract to construct a new purpose built care home and redevelop the existing care facilities at James Terry Court, Croydon, for the Royal Masonic Benevolent Institution.
The committed first phase is for 48 care beds with public facilities. A further phase would take this to 75 beds and 13 extra care apartments.
The existing building is locally listed and has large listed trees which are required to be protected.
Work is set to begin shortly and complete in summer 2012.
