Balfour Beatty subsdiary Mansell has won a £58.5m housing redevelopment deal from Kensington Housing Trust.

The contract covers the redevelopment of the Wornington Green Estate in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea over a series of phases.

This project is for the delivery of the first phase of the development (comprising blocks 1 to 3), initially for block 1, but with an option to break before blocks 2 and 3.

The works will include the decanting of the tenants from the existing buildings on the site and the delivery of mixed tenure units.

Mansell saw off five other contractors to win the deal.

Kensington is part of the Catalyst Housing Group, and is responsible for housing and estate regeneration in central and inner-west London.
