Morgan Sindall is set to start work on a £25m project to regenerate Stockbridge Village in Merseyside, after the scheme was granted planning approval by Knowsley Council.
The regeneration includes a new swimming pool, gym and leisure facilities, learning resource centre, primary school, children's and family centre, multi-use games area, and a supermarket.
Construction work will start later this month, with the primary school scheduled to be the first part of the scheme completed in autumn next year.
Morgan Sindall had been awarded the construction contract prior to planning consent being secured.
