Sunderland City Council is to host an open day for bidders interested in the construction of the £110m New Wear Bridge.
It will take place at Sunderland FC's Stadium of Light on 29 June 2010.
The New Wear Bridge will be the tallest bridge in Britain when completed.The iconic cable-stayed design, which stands 180m high and 330m long, was drawn up by Spence Associates Architects.
The bridge is to be constructed on the west side of Sunderland.
The council expects the award procedures to start on 10 January 2011, with construction work scheduled to start on 9 January 2012, and completed by 31 December 2015.
