Transport for London is inviting bidders for construction work on the second phase of the East London Line extension project.
The contract covers the construction of 1.3km of new railway between Surrey Quays station and Queens Road Peckham station, on Network Rail’s South London Line Railway.
A new station at Surrey Canal Road may also be included in the contract, depending on funding.
The construction programme will run from 29 October until 14 September 2011.
The full cost of the project, which will see the East London Line extended from Surrey Quays to Clapham Junction, has been estimated at £75m.
The deadline for expressions of interest is 7 May.
