Three contractors have been picked for a four-year housing construction and maintenance contract in east London worth £220m.
Hackney Homes, an arms length management organisation which manages the London Borough of Hackney's housing, has chosen Mansell, Mulalley, and Lakehouse for the deal, which covers Decent Homes work and maintenance.
The programme will involve investment in existing housing stock and maintenance including external works and internal modifications to residential properties across the borough.
The work is expected to be split evenly among the three contractors, who will manage the supply chain in collaboration with Hackney Homes.
The start date on site is scheduled for October 2010.
