Anton Dochev, 54, was working on the £100m Lancasters redevelopment in Bayswater, London.  On 6 August 2010, as he took a break in the designated smoking area, a pole fell while scaffold above him was dismantled.

The inquest at Westminster Coroner’s Court heard that concerns had been raised about the unsafe location of the smoking area but these had been dismissed.
