ACS presses on with plans for Hochtief takeover

10 May 11 Grupo ACS has published its list of candidates for the Hochtief supervisory board in line with its plans to increase its shareholding.

ACS will make its proposal for the supervisory board election at the annual shareholders’ general meeting on 12 May. All eight supervisory board members representing the shareholders’ side stand for election for a regular term of five years.

ACS is the largest shareholder in Hochtief, with more than 43.1% of the entire share capital. It said that it will continue to increase its shareholding in Hochtief with an unchanged mid-term target of reaching a shareholding of just above 50%.

ACS said that it striving for an adequate representation on the supervisory board. “With four representatives from ACS, one from Qatar and three independent candidates, we have made a well-balanced proposal,” said the company. “We are confident that the shareholders will support this.”

ACS’s proposed candidates include Manfred Wennemer, who is already on the board as too are Marcelino Fernández Verdes and Ángel García Altozano of ACS.

The others are Abdulla Abdulaziz Turki Al-Subaie of Qatar Railways, Thomas Eichelmann of Aton, Eggert Voscherau of BASF, Pedro Lopéz Jiménez of ACS and Dragados and José Luis del Valle Pérez of ACS.
