AFI makes £5m Skyjack investment

4 Feb 22 Powered access rental group AFI has placed a £5m order with Skyjack for new scissor and boom lifts.

The AFI group of companies has invested in approximately 200 Skyjack mobile elevating work platforms (MEWPs).

New machines in the AFI fleet include the Skyjack SJ9664RT, a new 20-metre full size rough-terrain diesel scissor lift, and the Skyjack SJ86T, a 28-metre telescopic diesel boom.

The consignment also includes electric scissor lifts, diesel scissor lifts and articulating diesel boom lifts.

Chief operating officer Nick Higgins said: “This latest Skyjack investment will enable us to expand the capability of the entire MEWP hire fleet and offer a diverse and efficient range of scissor lifts and articulated boom lifts to meet demand and increase service levels and flexibility to our customers across the entire UK.”
