The latest addition to ISG’s office network is designed to enable the contractor to service both multi-national and locally-based clients. It is intended to provide the company with a springboard into the Sub-Saharan African region, which ISG sees as having strong future growth potential.

The office will be headed by returning South African Craig Weatherhead, who has over 17 years’ senior management experience at a London-based design and build practice. “Johannesburg is the ideal location for ISG’s latest office, with its well-developed banking system, infrastructure and experience of wider African trading,” he said. “The business potential for the continent is well documented and we are now ideally placed to service the requirements of multi-national clients that are looking to take advantage of emerging economic opportunities.”

ISG chief executive David Lawther said: “The expansion of our international network to service the Sub-Saharan African region, alongside a further office we are about to open in Qatar, is a strategic decision based on our predictions of growth within this part of the world. Providing our multi-national clients with consistency of service delivery, regardless of geography, is a key tenet of the business and we will continue to explore opportunities to systematically expand our international network to mirror our client’s ambitions.”
