Airflow exhibits its efficient solutions at national homebuilding & renovating show

9 Mar 11 Airflow will be exhibiting its range of specialist air movement solutions at the National Homebuilding & Renovating Show at the NEC Birmingham.

Showcasing its Airflex Pro ducting system, PassivHaus approved Duplexvent DV150 and Duplexvent DV72 heat recovery units, Airflow will be on hand to inform visitors how the systems can be put to use on upcoming homebuilding projects.

The Airflex Pro semi-rigid ducting system comprises low resistance, smooth bore tubing to allow for the simple connection between rooms to a heat recovery unit via an air distribution box. Due to the connection method, air loss is avoided and inter-room noise transmission can be eradicated. Through its simple installation method, Airflex Pro has also been proven to deliver up to 70 percent time savings compared to alternative rigid or spiral ducting systems.

PassivHaus approved and able to meet incredibly stringent efficiency rates, the Duplexvent DV150 is also SAP Appendix Q Eligible, with a heat recovery rate of more than 80 percent. Controlled automatically by the intelligent SED digital control system, which has optional sensor inputs for temperature and occupancy detection by using a CO2 sensor, the Duplexvent DV150 offers a ‘fit and forget’ means by which ventilation and heat recovery services can be delivered.

Similarly, the Duplexvent DV72 unit is designed to provide a highly efficient level of mechanical ventilation and heat recovery in residential settings. With an efficiency rating exceeding 91%, the Duplexvent DV72 can be used with the Airflex Pro ducting system to achieve an incredibly efficient, leak free solution.

John Kelly, Marketing Manager of Airflow, commented: “With the drive to install systems that meet and in some cases exceed current efficiency ratings, our main focus is to provide visitors with the knowledge required to select the most appropriate system available to meet these needs. Recently PassivHaus approved, our Duplexvent DV150 heat recovery unit offers excellent efficiency levels making it ideal for installation where the reduction of energy costs and carbon emissions are key to the project.”

Airflow will be exhibiting on stand H166 at the National Homebuilding & Renovating Show from 24th to 27th March.
