Airflow offers energy efficient ventilation at Ecobuild

1 Feb 11 Airflow will be showcasing its range of energy efficient mechanical ventilation and mechanical ventilation with heat recovery solutions and accessories on stand N2110 at Ecobuild in 2011.

Offering a range of products suited to both domestic and commercial applications, Airflow will display a range of equipment designed specifically to help meet ever stricter energy efficiency and carbon reduction targets.

Ecobuild will play host to Airflow’s launch of a new range of high efficiency Duplexvent commercial ventilation with Heat Recovery units. The units incorporate unique modular design and outstanding ease of installation.

With lower emissionlevels in mind, Airflow will be showcasing its top energy efficient ventilation systems, aiming to provide visitors with an overview as to how easy it is to implement effective mechanical air movement in line with the latest Building Regulations and commercial BREEAM assessments.

Alongside the latest products to be launched, Airflow will be demonstrating its wide range of residential and commercial Duplexvent ventilation and heat recovery units, which are proven to be up to 94% energy efficient with the DV150 unit Passivhaus Institute Approved and other units SAP Appendix Q eligible. Weighing from just 14kg, the units are also incredibly light and easy to manoeuvre, making installation in a wide range of applications extremely simple.

A feature of the stand will be a fully installed AirflexPro semi-rigid ducting system. The system offers a ‘Zero Leakage’ solution that is up to 70% quicker to install than conventional flat and flexible ducting systems for ventilation installations. These require cutting and branching and as a result are often poorly sealed and therefore neither energy efficient for the building nor hygienic in their dust and allergen transmission for inhabitants. Due to the semi-rigid nature of Airflow’s Airflex Pro there are no issues with sealing or air leakage and multiple rooms can be individually connected to a heat recovery system ensuring a dust free, hygienic atmosphere whilst also reducing inter-room noise as a result.

Airflow will also be showing its low energy QuietAir extract fans. These are designed to provide continuous refreshment to the internal environment using as little energy as 5 watts. As such, the fans are marked with a very low Specific Fan Power rating making an energy efficient contribution to the reduction of a building’s emissions.

John Kelly, Marketing Manager from Airflow, commented, “Part of our continual product development agenda is to focus on our customers needs and deliver mechanical ventilation or mechanical ventilation with heat recovery systems with incredibly low energy requirements. With building guidelines moving ever closer to a ‘carbon zero’ goal, we are committed to ensuring that our products go some way to helping specifiers meet the challenge to provide fresh, clean air without compromise, by increasing the energy efficiency of buildings and contributing to the reduction in carbon emissions.”
