Atlas Copco launches compact compressor

19 Jan 11 Atlas Copco has launched its smallest ever portable air compressor, the XAS 27, developed to offer portable air users power, reliability and durability.

The new XAS 27 (27l/s, 7bar) weighs just over 200kg and is the first product in Atlas Copco’s portable air compressor range to be powered by a petrol engine.

The undercarriage allows the unit to be placed wherever it is needed, without any heavy lifting. This means that it can be easily set into the best working position. The XAS 27 is also small enough to fit through commercial doorways or in an elevator. A trolley mounted version is also available.

The one-tool XAS 27 can power pneumatic breakers, chippers, hammers, or small hand tools. The Honda petrol engine exceeds existing emissions regulations and drives Atlas Copco’s new C55 compressor element via a V-Belt drive complete with a belt-tensioning rail system.

A video about the XAS 27 is available on YouTube - here.
