At an awards ceremony at the Building Centre in London yesterday (9 February), this site won the prize in the Old media/new media category for “publication that has best adapted to the opportunities delivered by social media” reflecting “the changing nature of the publishing world”.
Other nominated contenders included BDonline (Building Design), Construction News and Demolition News.
The winner was chosen by pubic poll, with much support for The Construction Index coming from our ever-expanding legion of Twitter followers. (Join todayand follow @TCIndex.)
The margin of victory for The Construction Index was the biggest of all the award winners in the various categories, taking 64% of the vote. Demolition News was the only other product to make it into double figures, getting 16% of the vote to take second place.
