Balfour Beatty aids M&S efficiency drive

8 Apr 13 Retailer Marks & Spencer is on a drive to reduce its energy usage by 35% per square foot by 2015.

Balfour Beatty Engineering Services (BBES) has already replaced T5 ribbon wall light fittings with low-energy LED lighting in more than 170 stores across the UK.

It is now working on the installation of energy monitoring, intelligent lighting controls and waterless urinals to further reduce energy consumption.

BBES will also be helping Marks & Spencer to develop remotely management systems for in-store lighting, heating & ventilation and food refrigeration systems.
