The mooring will be used for berthing a floating storage and regasification unit (FSRU) and the tankers delivering liquefied natural gas (LNG). The FSRU for this project is a modified LNG carrier that receives the LNG offshore before it is transferred to shore through pipelines.

The project will be executed by PT BAM Decorient Indonesia, a subsidiary of BAM International.
