The work involves the construction of a 600m quay structure on the tidal reaches of the River Humber together with the reclamation of 8 hectares of foreshore.
Approximately 6.5 hectares of the existing Alexandra Dock will need infilling to allow construction of a reinforced concrete ro-ro ramp and associated berthing dolphins for the mooring and loading or unloading of vessels.
The site will be focused on Siemens’ production and export of wind turbines.
