The new work includes two schools contracts, with a combined value of just over £8m, for Renfrewshire Council. Clark Contracts will build the new St Fergus’ Primary School in Paisley and extend and refurbish the shared campus of Mossvale Primary School and St James’ Primary School, also in Paisley.

Two new contracts from Inverclyde Council, with a combined value of £5.8m, involve completing the redevelopment of the council’s vehicle maintenance facility in Greenock and the refurbishment of the former Police Court Building in Greenock, to create offices for the council’s property services section.

The new business wins also feature three contracts from the University of Edinburgh: the redevelopment of the university’s Pleasance complex; refurbishment of laboratory facilities at the Fleeming Jenkins Building; and window refurbishment at Warrender Park Crescent.

Clark Contracts is also to complete the conversion of the Nethanvale Building, creating 52 new apartments at the Auchlochan Garden Retirement Village, near Lesmahagow for MHA.

Managing director Gordon Cunningham said, “It’s always great to hit the ground running at the start of the New Year and we will be working hard to maintain this momentum throughout 2016.”
