Its joint venture business in the United Arab Emirates, Al Futtaim Carillion, has been awarded a contract worth some £150m by Meraas for the second phase of the Avenue City Walk development in Dubai.
The contract includes the construction, commissioning and testing of a family entertainment and retail scheme of over amillion square feet in the Jumeirah area of Dubai. Al Futtaim Carillion completed the first phase of the development in 2013.
Construction will begin immediately with completion in the second quarter of 2015. The contract had been classified by Carillion as a probable order at the end of last year.
In Canada, Bouchier Carillion has been selected by CNRL to provide integrated support services for the Horizon mine project in Fort MacKay, Alberta. Work includes building maintenance and renovation, camp maintenance and fire water maintenance.
