Castle & Pryor clears out old robots

5 Jan 12 Controlled demolition and concrete cutting specialist Castle & Pryor is completely overhauling its plant inventory and has put its fleet of Brokk demolition robots up for sale.

The specialist Brokk machines are remote controlled, allowing the operator to stay in a secure location, away from vibration and dust.

The Brokk units put up for sale include several 330 models that were, at the time of initial purchase, the largest machine Brokk manufactured. Smaller machines such as the Brokk 50 and Brokk 90 are also included in the sale. Ancillary equipment including Atlas concrete breakers, cruncher attachments and buckets are also available for purchase.

The age of equipment ranges from three to 13 years, with machine hours varying between 700 and 3000. All of the Brokks for sale were purchased new, directly from the official UK distributor and have been maintained in-house.

Co-owner Graham Pryor said: “Our Brokk sale is a result of the company’s ongoing investment in new plant and equipment, which will in turn mean we remain competitive and capable in our core services which include diamond drilling and sawing, controlled demolition and floor preparation.”
