Clement Windows provides refurbishment solution

13 Jan 12 Replicating the appearance of traditional windows, Clement’s EB24 steel windows offer an outstanding like-for-like replacement option that is ideal for both residential and commercial properties.

The EB24 window has been developed to provide an alternative to more widely known W20 and W40 styles and offers a steel window solution like no other, both in terms of its manufacture and unique aesthetics.

Traditionally, many older buildings may have standard W20 or W40 windows or early alternatives fitted. When the time comes to replace these, the common approach is simply to install the same as very little is known about the alternatives available – notably Clement’s EB24 window range.

Modern steel windows, such as EB24 from Clement Windows, meet Part L regulations whilst replicating the look of the original fenestration. Good thermal performance levels are delivered due to the very thin profile of the steel sections, careful detailing of the insulation and high performance 24mm insulating glass units using coated glass. Comprising 4mm inner and outer panes, the 16mm central cavity is filled with Argon gas, minimising heat loss from a room, due to its excellent insulative properties.

Designed to match the appearance of original steel windows found in more traditional properties, such as those that are listed or found in conservation areas, Clement’s EB24 steel windows can be installed on such heritage projects making specification far easier when looking for a suitable replacement window.

Considering aesthetics, EB24 is also available in five different styles; standard clear glass, rectangular leaded, diamond leaded, Georgian welded and Georgian fenestra joint. The windows can be finished in a whole range of RAL colours too, helping to ensure the replacement windows are in keeping with the rest of the property once installed. The security of a property can also be enhanced thanks to the option to specify EB24’s unique multi-point locking system, which is tested to BS7950, and so provides added peace of mind.

Peter Couldery, Managing Director of Clement Windows said: “The EB24 range offers a ‘made to measure’ window system that is ideal when our clients are replacing old steel windows whilst still looking to retain their aesthetic appearance. As an alternative to commonly known W20 and W40 styles, EB24 opens up a new and higher performance option for clients looking to install steel windows that meet their exact needs.”
