Hub North Scotland Ltd, a joint venture of Miller’s Alba Community Partnerships, Scottish Futures Trust and the 18 Northern Territory partners, has reached financial close on Grampian Police’s multi-million pound new criminal justice centre in Aberdeen.

Alba Community Partnerships is a joint venture between Miller Corporate Holdings and Cyril Sweett Investments.

Due for completion in December 2013, the new police station, on a former Scottish Water site on Great Northern Road in Kittybrewster, will have 60 cells. It will also be able to accommodate staff from partners agencies such as the Procurator Fiscal and Courts service.

Hub North Scotland chief executive Angus Macfarlane said: “We are delighted to have reached financial close on Grampian Police’s new criminal justice centre.  Upon completion, the new building will bring benefits to the force, resulting in a smaller number of larger custody facilities, rather than a large volume of smaller facilities which currently exist, and the local community at large.

“We are working on a number of other pipeline developments and look forward to further financial closes during 2013."
