COINS and Constructionline collaboration set to save the construction industry millions

3 Jun 11 COINS, the construction industry software provider and Constructionline, register of pre-qualified contractors today announces a collaboration that is set to save the construction industry millions of pounds.

The move will integrate both organisations databases allowing procurement process to be streamlined for COINS clients as Constructionline’s supplier data will now automatically be fed into each user’s database in real time. The move will improve efficiencies by reducing the time and money spent on procurement of pre-qualified suppliers and as a result will reduce costs, increase margins and improve the client experience

Matthew Jones from COINS, said: We are delighted to be able to enhance our client service by collaborating with Constructionline. Pre-qualification is a necessary burden nobody wants and through our shared vision we can bring massive savings with potentially no extra costs to the buyers or the suppliers. We are using our leading positions to bring together significant change and benefits for the construction industry during a difficult time.”

Philip Prince, a director from Constructionline, said: “On average it can cost buyers around £300 to collect and regularly update the details of a single supplier. If you scale this up to a major contractor with a supply chain of 10,000, for example, this move could help realise a saving of around £3 million each year.
