Contractor seeks Wrexham subbies

14 Jan 14 Bullock Construction is looking to develop a supply chain in Wrexham to help deliver a four-year framework for Pennaf Housing Group.

Its contract includes immediate new-build opportunities as well as housing refurbishment and some health and community building projects.

Bullock is inviting subcontractors and trade suppliers from North Wales to a free ‘supplier engagement day’ on 20th January at Ramada Plaza, Ellice Way, Wrexham. Attendees will hear about opportunities on the framework and learn how to apply for them.

The company recently opened an office in Mold following several contract wins in North Wales.

Procurement director Andrew Hazlehurst said: “We are committed to creating a positive impact in the areas in which we work, and that means creating employment opportunities for local businesses, no matter what their size.”

The event is being organised by Constructionline, whose client relationship manager Cheryl Wrench said: “It can be challenging for local construction companies to get involved in larger projects. For this reason, it is great to see Bullock sourcing local subcontractors, suppliers and trades people on such a high profile scheme and supporting the local economy.

The event is free but registration is recommended. Seewww.constructionline.co.uk/events to register.
