Contractors sought to share in £480m of work

20 May 11 North East Procurement (NEP) is inviting tenders for companies to share in up to £480m of housing work over four years under a framework agreement.

The work is primarily across the north east of England, North Yorkshire, and the city of York. It is split into lots covering contruction only and design and contruct, with lot values ranging from less than £1m to more than £10m.

NEP is a not-for-profit organisation bringing together social housing providers in the region.

The proposed framework agreement will be for a maximum period of 4 years. It is envisaged that it will be available for use by NEP members and by other partners and customers, such as any social housing provider.

Works are primarily required for new build programmes, particularly for houses, community centres and sheltered schemes. There may also be an element of refurbishment works to existing buildings where this is part of the overall development.
