Scotland’s Daily Record reported at the weekend that 15 employees of subcontractor Dunne Group walked off after a promised pay rise did not materialise. Dunne Group’s construction equipment division is CLR Plant Hire.

Main contractor on the job, the £840m Southern General Hospital, is Brookfield.

One estimate put the cost of disruption to the concrete pouring operations at £50,000 a day.
